why do i love so much the island of rhodes ?

I don't know yet.The only thing i know is that i feel extremely happy every time i visit this island.

I visited a lot of countries, and also a lot of greek islands.But i never felt the happiness that i feel every time i visit Rhodes.It is not the beauty of the island : for exemple the island of Lesvos is much more beautiful than Rhodes in my opinion.It is not the beaches or the weather : a lot of greek islands have extremely nice and clean beaches also.

It is not the food : in many places in Greece, i have discovered immediately a lot of restaurants with excellent local and healthy food using local products.This was not the case when i started visiting Rhodes : there are quite few qualitative restaurants in my opinion and even these restaurants "import" the agricultural products they use, from other regions of Greece or from abroad.

The island of Rhodes has some characteristics that i did not find in other greek islands

- the island is very green : i love the northern coast of the island more than the southern coast.

- the architecture of city of Rhodes is unique : i don't refer only to the old town.I like the combination between the old and the new town.

- i love to see the sea and the turkish coasts from Monte Smith.Some times i stay for hours there admiring the nature. - the local people are very friendly and i think that even in the town, they know each other.Due to this, everything is more human on the island.Local people speak very easily with the tourists and they give the impression thatthey are always laughing.

-finally,Rhodes is in my opinion the most cosmopolitan city in Greece.People from all over thw world live there together without any problem.

So, i still don't know why i am so happy when i visit this island.Probably the combination of all these unique characteristics of the island gives me this impression.
